Good News for Brooklyn Cyclists

The Department of Transportation has offered the public a first look at a planned 4.5 mile bike lane on 4th Avenue in Brooklyn.

The five-foot bike lane(s) will be placed on each side of 4th Ave and will run through Park Slope, Sunset Park, and Bay Ridge. A parking lane/pedestrian island will separate the bike lane from traffic lanes. The updates to the street are expected to improve cyclist safety and reduce the number of Brooklyn cyclist fatalities and injuries.
