On Tuesday, December 20th multiple shoppers at Brooklyn’s Atlantic Terminal mall on Flatbush Ave were injured when an escalator abruptly sent several people flying.
At this time it’s still unclear what caused the escalator to malfunction, but witnesses report the escalator suddenly speed up and then stopped, causing a number of shoppers to loose their footing. According to officials two people were seriously injured and nearly a half dozen suffered minor injuries.
