A pedestrian was seriously injured in Midtown on July 15 after he was struck by a speeding cab. The cab had hit another taxi at West 52nd Street and Seventh Avenue before it struck a pole and hit the pedestrian.
The two cabs were heading south on Seventh Avenue at around 4pm when the cab in the middle lane sped up trying to make a left onto West 52nd Street. It struck the other cab that was in the left lane and then slammed into a light pole hitting a man walking on the sidewalk.
The pedestrian remains unidentified but is said to be suffering from serious injuries. He is listed in stable condition at a hospital. The cabbie who struck him was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
