After dinner with some friends, our client went for an early evening walk around her Little Neck, Long Island neighborhood with her guests. Just as she was crossing the street, a police officer failed to stop at a stop sign, hitting our client. Her friends witnessed the erratic driving of the officer and confirmed he failed to stop at the stop sign. Surprisingly, the police did not take any photos of the scene and attempted to blame our client by listing “pedestrian error/confusion” on the police report. Our 60-year-old client was taken to the hospital with a concussion, some cuts to her face, she lost two teeth, broke her wrist and had fractures to her back. Just before jury selection the case was settled for $1,625,000.
