Hepatitis A Alert at Bronx Restaurant

The New York City Health Department is urging anyone who ate at or ordered from New Hawaii Sea Restaurant in the Bronx between September 7 and September 19 to get a hepatitis A vaccine immediately.

There have been five confirmed cases of the illness that were linked to the restaurant.

The restaurant has been shut down. It is located on at 1475 Williamsbridge Road in the Westchester Village section of the east Bronx.

One employee of the restaurant and four patrons have come down with the illness, a liver disease caused by a virus. Symptoms include jaundice, fatigue, abdominal pain, nausea and diarrhea.
