Ms. Armatti-Epstein has been with Jacoby & Meyers, LLP for over 20 years. She has obtained million dollar settlements and verdicts for numerous clients. Most recently, she successfully obtained a $1 Million Dollar verdict for our client who was injured in an ambulette crash. The driver of the ambulette did not have the proper class of license to drive an ambulette in NYC and was not provided proper training. Ms.Armatti-Epstein was also instrumental in settling a case against the City of New York for $4.5 Million Dollars when members of the New York City Police Department made an illegal turn causing the occupant of the Police vehicle to undergo several surgeries; she received a $1 Million Dollar verdict on behalf of a motorcyclist against a Tractor Trailer Company that blocked the motorcyclist’s view of an intersection; and she recently received a $500,000 verdict for a pedestrian struck by an automobile and was caused to undergo two arthroscopic surgeries to her shoulder.
Ms. Armatti-Epstein also volunteers her time to New York Cares, an organization addressing pressing community needs.
Ms. Armatti-Epstein is on the New York State Trial Lawyers Association (NYSTLA) board of directors and also serves as a small claims court arbitrator.
Contractor and Owner Fail To Provide Safety Device – Worker Ceiling Collapses and Worker Settles for $2,000,000. A roofer is entitled to fall protection devices when they work on a construction site. New York City Fails To Maintain Bike Lane – $425,000 Settlement. While riding on Shore Road and 79th Street in Brooklyn, our client was busy paying attention to the traffic and pedestrians. As he approached the intersection there was a deep depression in the dedicated bike lane that caused the front wheel to abruptly stop and throw our client off his bike. Read more.
