New York City Works to Aide Cyclists’ Commute

The NYC Department of Transportation (DOT) is making strides to make cycling in New York City easier and safer. Recently the organization placed free bike pumps under the Manhattan Bridge in Brooklyn and near the Williamsburg Bridge in Manhattan.

This relatively minuscule gesture could have a big impact on cyclists. A flat tire can essentially disable a bicycle and could easily cause a crash. By providing cyclists with an easy, free way to keep their tires properly inflated the city is taking a small step in the right direction.
