Mugging Victim Shoved Onto Subway Tracks, Got Up Before Train Arrived

A mugging victim was shoved onto the tracks while struggling with his attacker at a midtown subway station on the night of June 1.

The victim was riding the subway when a young man tried to snatch his iPhone and wallet as the train was pulling into the Lexington Ave. station. The two men began fighting and stumbled out of the train as the doors opened. The struggle continued on the platform as the victim fought to hold onto his property.

After the train pulled out of the station, the attacker pushed the victim onto the tracks and fled. The victim managed to get off the tracks and onto the platform before the next train arrived. It is unclear if the attacker made off with the phone and wallet.
