$55.7 Million Landmark Cyberstalking Settlement Against eBay Executives

A Massachusetts couple who ran an independent e-commerce news website became the targets of a coordinated campaign of stalking, threats, and harassment carried out by former eBay employees in retaliation for their reporting. Several of those employees later pleaded guilty in criminal proceedings. After years of civil litigation, the legal team secured a $55.7 million settlement, with part of the funds supporting charitable organizations, including efforts to protect First Amendment rights.

This result was secured by our sister firm, Finkelstein & Partners, with attorneys from Jacoby & Meyers, Diller Law, and Finkelstein, Blankinship, Frei-Pearson & Garber also part of the legal team.
