Pedestrian Struck by Cabbie

In the early hours of Thursday, April 7th a cabbie jumped a curb in Greenwich Village. The cab came to a halt on the sidewalk with a pedestrian pinned between the vehicle and a wall.

The incident occurred on University Place drive on the corner of East 8th.

The victim was transported to an area hospital in critical condition.

Bronx Pedestrian Knockdown

On Saturday, April 2nd shortly after 6:30pm officials responded to a pedestrian knockdown in the Bronx.

The incident occurred on White Plains road. The victim, just 22 years old, was attempting to cross the street when he was struck.

He was rushed to an area hospital in critical condition. Officials are still investigating what caused the crash.

Five Pedestrians Struck on Bronx Sidewalk

Hit and Run Victims

According to authorities on April 1, 2016 a 26 year old man attempted to avoid rear ending a stopped vehicle on East Fordham Road, but instead struck four pedestrians and injured another.

According to officials the driver was ticketed for failure to yield to pedestrians. It is not clear at this time what, if any, additional charges the driver will face.
