Truck Driver Arrested After Fatal Pedestrian Knockdown in Queens

Authorities have officially charged the tow truck driver who struck and killed a 70-year-old woman in Queens, New York on Friday, July 6th.

Police responded to the call at approximately 2:30pm at the intersection of 217th Street and Jamaica Avenue. The injured woman was transported to a local hospital with head and body injuries. Sadly, she did not survive and was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Child Suffers Head Injury in Brooklyn Hit-and-Run

At approximately 5:30pm on Saturday, May 20th an 8-year-old girl was struck by what authorities have described as a red four door Honda. The driver fled the scene, leaving the injured child lying in the street. Emergency officials transported the child to an area hospital.

Fire Police Volunteer Struck in N.J.

Hit & Run Car Accident

On April 30th a 59-year-old fire police volunteer was directing traffic in Bordentown Township, south of Trenton, due to downed utility lines.

At approximately 4:20 a 21-year old driver drove through the traffic cones and struck the volunteer.  According to police the cause of the crash was likely driver inattention.
