A tragic New Jersey bus collision resulted in two fatalities and 17 injuries. The crash occurred on Friday, August 19th at the intersection of Raymond Boulevard and Broad Street in Newark. Authorities have yet to identify what caused the crash.
According to the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration transit busses, like the busses involved in Friday’s crash, account for roughly 41% of all fatal bus crashes. Recent studies show that the number of bus crashes where injuries are sustained is on the rise.
