On Sunday, June 26th an MTA bus collided with a fire truck in Queens. The incident occurred just after noon at the intersection of Ditmars Blvd and 21st Street in Astoria.
Twelve passengers and five firefighters were injured in the crash. There was also a significant amount of property damage to vehicles parked near the scene. Although authorities have yet to divulge the cause of the crash, witnesses’ report the bus was may have been traveling at an excessive speed.
