On Wednesday, May 18th safety officials, bikers, and reporters gathered in North Jersey to discuss what can be done to create safer driving conditions for bikers and motorists.
According to NorthJersey.com motor vehicle-motorcycle accidents account for half of the all motorcycle crashes each year. When a motorcyclist is involved in a crash, the likelihood of him or her becoming seriously injured is far higher than that of a motor vehicle driver.
This year experts are encouraging motorcyclists to seek improved training. A similar strategy was imposed last year and preliminary results indicate a lower number of biker deaths than in previous years.
