Fatal Oversights Doctors Continue to Make

According to an international news distributer the oversights of General Practitioners has turned fatal for thousands of cancer patients. 

A study published in the British Medical Journal suggests that doctors who aren’t complying with guidelines are causing preventable deaths amongst cancer patients who should have been referred out for additional testing. 

Medical officials and cancer specialists have spent years urging doctors to refer out patients to specialists for testing to help prevent serious illness and increase survival rates. 

As a patient we want to assume that our doctor has taken all of the necessary steps to ensure our health and well-being, however sadly every day patients in the US and abroad die from illness that were either misdiagnosed or neglected to diagnose. Depending on the circumstances surrounding the illness or death medical malpractice laws may come into play.
