Whole Foods has issued a recall for Curry Chicken Salad and Classic Deli Pasta salad sold throughout
Maine, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, New York and New Jersey.
The recall is due to potential Listeria Monocyctogenes contamination.
According to the CDC Listeria is defined as “a serious infection usually caused by eating food contaminated with the bacterium Listeria monocytogenes.”
Symptoms of listeria include but aren’t limited to: fever, muscle aches, diarrhea and other gastrointestinal symptoms.
If you purchased Curry Chicken Salad or Classic Deli Pasta you are advised to discard to the product immediately and bring your receipt to your local Whole Foods for a refund.
