On Saturday, May 9th a cab driver stuck a 76-year-old woman. The accident occurred as the taxi was turning onto East 60th street from Madison Avenue on the Upper East Side.
The woman was in critical condition when transported to New York Presbyterian Weill Cornell Medical Center. She was pronounced dead upon arrival to the hospital.
The cab driver, who had been on the read the better part of the last three decades, had his license suspended. The NYPD Collision Investigation Squad has yet to determine a cause, the investigation remains ongoing.
