New ‘Knockout’ Game in Jersey May Be Spreading

The potentially fatal ‘knockout’ game that some kids are playing may be spreading.

The game, that has already caused deaths in Syracuse, St. Louis and New Jersey, preys upon unsuspecting people walking the streets. The terrifying trend consists of players walking up to a random stranger on the street and knocking them out with one punch as they walk by.

The graphic footage in this CBS 2 report shows one victim, a 46-year-old man who was later found dead with his neck broken and head lodged between iron fence posts.

And what’s the point? It’s for fun, one teen says in the broadcast. “They just want to see if you got enough strength to knock somebody out,” said another.

We warn everyone to please be safe and alert when walking alone! This is a fatal trend that seems to be spreading in our community.
