The British tourist who lost her leg in a horrific Manhattan accident last month, said that she plans to return to the “beautiful” city of New York someday.
Sian Green, 23, had to have her left leg amputated after a taxi lost control, severing her foot when he ran into her near Rockefeller Center on August 20.
“I hope to come back one day. It’s not the city’s fault. It was the man who made a bad choice, I can’t blame the city for that. It’s a beautiful city and I’d love to come back,” said Green in an interview on the Today show.
The 23-year-old hopes to model again and launch her own clothing line.
“The only thing I really wanted to do was going to the top of the Empire State Building,” she said. But the crash happened just two days into her trip to the big city.
Authorities continue to investigate the accident, but no charges have been filed against the runaway cab driver.
