An SUV jumped a curb in Maspeth, Queens on Thursday morning plowing into a group of junior high school students. Two boys and three girls were injured. One girl was pinned beneath the silver Honda Pilot.
The girl was taken to the hospital with a fractured leg, another with a broken leg. Three other children sustained minor injures.
The accident happened at the corner of Grand Avenue and 71st Street, when the students were on their way to Intermediate School 73-Q.
The driver was apparently trying to park his vehicle when he accidentally hit the gas. It is not clear whether or not he will face charges.
