More than three-dozen people were injured on Monday afternoon after an MTA bus collided with a car in Brooklyn around 4:40pm at Albany Ave. and Herkimer Street in Bedford-Stuyvesant.
41 people were injured in the accident and were taken to local hospitals. Twelve people were seriously injured, while the remaining 29 suffered minor injuries.
A witness stated that the driver of the car was fleeing authorities and ran a stop sign. At that point, the car was hit by the bus. The man apparently had a gun and decided to bolt when cops noticed the weapon, police said.
Responders had to use the jaws of life to pull victims from the wreckage.
