A cop was struck by a fleeing stolen vehicle in Queens yesterday, August 21.
The collision happened at Broadway and Crescent Street in Astoria. Two officers tried pulling the truck over, which had been reported stolen a few days ago. The driver then struck a police officer and took off. The officers then fired at the truck.
Both officers were taken to Weill Cornell and are listed to be in stable condition, according to the FDNY.
The suspect then either ditched the truck or crashed it at 37th St. and 24th Ave. and then fled on foot. He is described as a white male in his 60s and may have fired at the officers.
