Bicycle Accident Leaves Long Island Resident Dead

A 51-year-old man from Long Island was riding his bike in Port Jefferson Station when he was killed after being struck by a vehicle in a hit-and-run.

Suffolk County police say Bradford Packer was traveling westbound on Nesconset Highway at 9:15pm on Thursday, July 11th when he was hit by a light-colored Hyundai sedan that fled the scene.

Police ask anyone with information about the crash to contact the Vehicular Crime Unit at 631-852-6555.
